To ―S. W. Lee.― What use is poem, what use is it to say, Only, when I would embrace thee again, never more? Without affection, lonesomely― dangerously, spending this day. Thou went too early in the cosmosic circulation. Thy bequest, that thou planted in my heart deep, Unavailingly yet croons chasing the days of glorification. O Honey! Why my rosy face paled like the moon― and my thoughtful soul whenever look for thee? But’ twas in vain, thy country was too dark and ruin. Only night, I build thy heavenly figure adumbral; Upon my vision’s sighful canvas, and then, my eyes was a stormed channel. O void forgetfulness! May I rest in thy pond deep, and I would no more want, except one thing― Let me sleep without wake— let me sleep……… ―From the “Bereft Soul”―

Bereft Soul

thy country was too dark and ruin
